Streets

The streets in our city are planned and ever evolving to accommodate the growth we are seeing now and anticipate for the future.

Fun Facts about our city streets

Central Street use to be called Pioneer Street and the highway ran through town along Pioneer Street.

Between 1989-1990 the town got its first paved streets, in the shape of an “H”. Then from Central & Township Ave to the state line. As of 2023, we have 32,011 feet of asphalt and 28,630 feet of chip and seal!

Where else can you go from pavement to dirt to pavement to dirt?

All roads lead to the edge of the world.

Any digging or utility work done in the city’s right of way needs to have an “Encroachment ” permit. [click here for link]
